DT-A4 powder properties tester is based on the national standard GB/T1482-2010 metal powder fluidity determination, standard funnel method (Hall flowmeter), GB/T1479.1-2017 bulk density, GB/11986-89 angle of repose determination method. It has 3 test functions: powder fluidity, angle of repose (also known as angle of repose), and bulk density (also known as bulk density). It is an ideal instrument for testing powder properties in the powder industry.
Applications
DT-A4 powder properties tester is an ideal instrument for testing powder fluidity, angle of repose, and bulk density in the powder industry for testing related powders and granular materials in industrial chemistry, battery powder, metal industry, pharmaceuticals, food, scientific research institutions, and quality inspection agencies.

Product Advantages
1. The funnel and measuring cup are both made of stainless steel (304 material), and their inner surfaces have been carefully and specially polished to have sufficient wall thickness and hardness to effectively prevent deformation and excessive wear.
2. A variety of configurations can be flexibly replaced according to the test method.
3. The instrument bracket is used to fix the funnel and powder tray. According to the test requirements, the upward or downward movement can be easily adjusted through the knob on the bracket.
4. There is a baffle switch under the bracket. Before the powder is loaded into the funnel, the baffle is closed at the funnel outlet to effectively prevent the powder from leaking, without the need to manually block the funnel mouth.
5. Equipped with calculation software, the software is installed on the computer, and the test record data is entered to obtain the test report. The report can be selected in Chinese or English, and can be output in Word/Excel/PDF format, or printed online, without manual calculation, saving time and convenience.
Fluidity test steps
1. Reference standard: GB/T1482-2010 Metal powder fluidity determination standard funnel method (Hall flowmeter)
2. Test principle: measure the time required for 50g of metal powder to flow through the standard funnel hole
3. Calculation formula: powder mass/flow time
4. Test method:
Block the bottom outlet of the funnel with a switch, weigh 50g of sample and pour it into the funnel, and start timing while opening the switch at the bottom of the funnel outlet.
Stop timing as soon as the powder in the funnel flows out, and record the time it takes for all the powder to flow out.
Measure at least 3 times, take the arithmetic mean as the final result, and input the powder weight and flow time into the calculation software to obtain the powder fluidity.
The shorter the time, the better the powder fluidity, and the longer the time, the worse the powder fluidity.
Test principle: Inject enough dust to overflow the material tray from the funnel mouth onto the horizontal material tray; measure the acute angle between the dust accumulation slope and the bottom horizontal plane, that is, the dust repose angle.
Calculation formula: Material pile height / (material pile radius minus funnel aperture radius)
Test method:
Place the repose angle powder tray on the fixed frame, adjust the height adjustment handle, and move the powder tray upward until it contacts the bottom of the funnel. At this time, the lowest point of the scale is at 0mm.
Loosen the locking handle of the funnel fixing frame, adjust the center point of the funnel to align with the center of the powder tray, and then lock the funnel fixing frame.
Fill the funnel with the powder to be tested, and then rotate the height adjustment handle to slowly move the powder tray downward. The powder automatically flows out of the funnel and accumulates on the small plate in the powder tray.
When the powder accumulates to a certain height and overflows the small plate, stop rotating the height adjustment handle until the powder in the funnel stops flowing.
Read the height of the powder pile through the scale on the main bracket, input the height of the powder pile and the radius of the small plate into the calculation software, and automatically calculate the angle of repose of the powder.
Loose density test steps
Reference standard: GB/T1479.1-2011 Determination of loose density Part 1: Funnel method
Test principle: In the loose state, completely fill the known measuring cup with powder mass, place the funnel at a certain distance above the measuring cup, and let the powder fall freely from the funnel into the measuring cup to obtain the loose state.
Calculation formula: powder mass/measuring cup volume
Weigh the weight of the standard measuring cylinder, place the standard measuring cylinder on the powder tray, and adjust the center line of the funnel to coincide with the center line of the standard measuring cylinder.
Pour the sample into the funnel and flow into the standard measuring cylinder. When the sample forms a cone at the top of the standard measuring cylinder and begins to overflow, stop adding powder.
Use a straight steel ruler to gently scrape off the excess powder along the upper edge of the standard measuring cylinder, put it on the balance and weigh it to get the weight of the powder. The powder weight is divided by the volume of the measuring cylinder to get the loose density of the powder.
Normally, two samples are measured in parallel and the arithmetic mean is taken as the final result. If the powder is moist, it needs to be dried in advance. The drying method is to put the powder in an oven at 105°C to dry it.
