The EGA-50 Automobile Car Exhaust Gas Analyzer adopts the principle of non-dispersive infrared absorption method. Through microcomputer analysis, it can directly measure the concentration of HC, CO and CO2 in the exhaust gas emitted by motor vehicles; it adopts electrochemical principle to measure the concentration of NO and O2 in the exhaust gas, and can calculate the excess air coefficient λ according to the measured concentration of CO, CO2, HC and O2.

The instrument introduces advanced foreign technology and has the advantages of accurate measurement, simple operation, high durability, fast detection speed, etc. It is equipped with a microprocessor and an intelligent instrument with LCD display and English interface.

There are optional parts such as inductive tachometer, temperature sensor probe for users to choose. At the same time, the storage function is added, which can detect the engine speed, lubricating oil temperature and store and print the current test results while detecting the exhaust gas.

In addition to the real-time testing function, this instrument also compiles a special program for testing under dual idle conditions in accordance with the provisions of the dual idle method in the national standard "GB/T 18285-2018 Limits and Measurement Methods for Exhaust Pollutants from Spark-ignited Engine Vehicles (Dual Idle Method and Simple Working Condition Method)", and automatically controls the testing process. Therefore, it is very convenient to use it for dual idle emission measurement. The instrument is small in size, light in weight, can store 500 sets of measured emission test data, and is especially suitable for roadside inspections. The test is suitable for use in automobile manufacturers, motor vehicle inspection stations, and automobile repair shops.

3. Sampling method

Exhaust gas: direct sampling. The sampling tube length is 5m and the sampling probe length is 900mm.

Oil temperature: The temperature sensor is inserted into the engine oil dipstick hole. The insertion length is the same as the oil dipstick length. It is blocked with a rubber plug to prevent the oil from spraying out. The wire length is 5m.

Speed: Non-contact measurement method. As long as the distance from the high-voltage soft wire to the gasoline engine is not more than 20cm, the speed of the gasoline engine can be measured.

7. Time stability

After preheating, the zero drift and span drift of the instrument for 4h shall not exceed its indication error.

8. Repeatability

The repeatability of the instrument’s indication shall not exceed 1/3 of the absolute value of the allowable error of its indication.

Digital quantity: RS232 serial communication.
